United Soccer Academy is dedicated to helping soccer
players, between the ages of 10 and 19, develop into well rounded players
through international soccer travel and competition.
We have developed a quality program that provides players
with an extensive amount of training, exhibition games, and competition
in some of the world's best international soccer cups.
United Soccer Academy is not designed to replace existing
club teams, ODP programs or other local organizations, but instead serve
as a supplement to enhance these programs by providing individual players
with a quality soccer experience overseas. The Brazil Tour, Italy Tour, and Britain Tour are for individual players seeking the best in overseas
coaching and competition.
Mission Statement
United Soccer Academy is dedicated to helping youth soccer players develop
the confidence and ability to pursue their soccer dreams, as well as
focusing on developing a well rounded player.
We prepare and encourage our players to make a positive difference
in their lives whether it be on the soccer field, in the classroom,
or later on in life. As an organization, United Soccer Academy understands
the importance of developing confidence, courage, pride, and work ethic
in every one of our players.
United Soccer Academy uses Athletic Diplomacy, as well as the thrill
and challenges of international competition to develop well rounded
soccer players and individuals.
History
The United Soccer Academy management staff has over 20 years of experience
and has traveled to 22 different countries on soccer missions with thousands
of American youth soccer players.
From the beautiful soccer "pitches" of Europe to the intense
soccer atmosphere of South America to the warmth and passion of the
Chinese; the United Soccer Academy staff has developed a reputation
second to none for quality, excellence, and most importantly the dedication
we provide to each and every one of our players.
Coaches & Staff
United Soccer Academy is a program directed by soccer people for soccer
players. We understand that our coaches are an integral part of our
success. As a result, we hand pick the coaches who lead our teams overseas.
Our coaches are experienced international travelers and are familiar
with the unique dynamics of international competition.
United Soccer Academy provides every player with the necessary training,
personalized attention, encouragement, and discipline he or she needs
to succeed. To ensure this, our staff to player ratio is less than 1
to 6.
In addition to the top level coaching that each of our players receive,
each tour is staffed with medical personnel/trainers to care for our
players. United Soccer Academy has a full time management /administrative

Program Goals
| As an organization, our goal is to develop players
in the following areas:
1. Be mobile on and off the ball. Players must have the
ability to receive, play, and move.
2. Ability to score goals. Players must not pass off scoring
responsibility and must have the ability to create and finish
off scoring chances.
3. Develop technical/skill speed. Players need to have
the ability to play under pressure and in tight situations.
4. Develop soccer vision. Players must know what to do
with the ball prior to receiving it & must think two to three
plays ahead.
5. Athleticism. Players must have good speed, ability
to change pace, strength, and flexibility.
6. Ability to attack and defend. All players must have
the ability to defend with intensity, as well as to have the ability
to attack with urgency & transition.
7. Defensive principles. Knowing when and where to play
high pressure, low pressure, man-to-man, or zone defense, both
as a player and as a team.
8. Soccer personalities. We encourage players to bring
out their character on the field, to be competitive, to play with
heart and pride, and to be an asset to the chemistry of the team.
9. Passing. Players need to have the ability to play the
ball from point A to point B with accuracy and to be able to play
balls both long, short, driven, and flighted.
10. Become a student of the game. Players to need to take
a "coach" approach and must look to learn more about
the game by watching and following high level soccer.
Goalkeepers will receive specific goalkeeping training
and coaching with United Soccer Academy. Along with the related
goals from above, United Soccer Academy goalkeepers will have
specific goals (i.e. distribution, technique, reading of the game)
during the training camp and throughout the tour.
