Italy
Italy, FIFA World Cup Champions, is a great destination for team travel…excellent soccer and awesome sightseeing. For over a decade United Soccer Academy has been customizing and coordinating programs to Italy for club and college teams. Not “off the shelf tours”, but programs that fit the needs, level of competition, desires, and budgets of our teams and clubs. Italy is a wonderful country to travel to as it has such much to offer culturally and sightseeing. Allow United Soccer Academy to coordinate a soccer program from training to tournament play to Serie A matches to stadium tours to professional clinics/camps to Italy and your team will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience on and off the field.
With our vast network of professional clubs and youth tournaments in Italy we can arrange programs in the spring and summer from southern Italy, Palermo to northern Italy, Como. As an official tournament representative for four of Italy’s best youth tournaments United Soccer Academy can provide youth teams with many viable tour options, including:
- Como Lake Cup (boys) – March 21-23, 2008
- Como Champions Cup (girls) – March 21-23, 2008
- San Marino Cup – June 30-July 6, 2008
- Valtellina Cup – July22-27, 2008
Como Lake Cup and Como Champions Cup. These two quality tournaments are played over the Easter Weekend (March 21-23, 2008). The Como Lake Cup is for boys teams U12 – U18 and is played throughout the area of Como. The Como Champions Cup is for girls/women’s teams and will draw the top Italian female teams. This cup is recommended for top female US teams (U16 and older). As part of the tournament weekend, teams and players will have the opportunity to attend the Inter Milan vs Juventus, Serie A match, at the famous San Siro Stadium in Milan
San Marino Cup. Played in the world’s oldest republic, Republic of San Marino, along the Adriatic coast from June 30-July 6, 2008. The San Marino Cup is Italy’s largest international youth tournament. In 2007 teams came from 12 different countries. Combine this tournament with many options from friendly matches and sightseeing in Rome, to a training camp in the Tuscany region (Florence), to friendly matches and sightseeing in Milan and Como.
Valtellina Cup. Played in Morbegno, a well known mountain and sports resort city located in the Italian Alps of the Lombardy Region, is close to the Swiss border and the famous city of Saint Moritz. The Valtellina Cup is played from July 22-27 and is a great tournament to prepare for a team’s fall soccer season.
For college programs, both men’s and women’s, Italy is an excellent soccer destination, especially in the Spring time and into May. We are able to coordinate matches with Serie A, B, C, D clubs. During this time, teams will be able to attend professional matches, as well as take in training sessions. Off the field, teams and players will enjoy everything that Italy has to offer.
Professional Youth Tournaments for ODP teams and/or top US club teams. We can arrange for high level US youth teams to play in top level youth professional tournaments. Compete against professional Italian teams like AC Milan, FC Juventus, FC Inter Milan, AS Roma, AC Fiorentina and top European clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and FC Barcelona. These tournaments, for boys’ teams, take place throughout the Italian peninsula during the spring, summer, and fall season. Scandinavia
For over 15-years United Soccer Academy has been leading teams and customizing tours to Scandinavia for individual players and club, high school, and collegiate teams. There are numerous options for teams interested in traveling to Scandinavia from major international youth tournaments to homestay programs to camps conducted by top European professional clubs and coaches.
For club and high school teams one viable option is to make the Gothia Cup and Football Festival Denmark the focus on your tour to Europe and Scandinavia. The Gothia Cup, the world’s largest international youth tournament, played in Gothenburg, Sweden, will have over 1,600 teams from 65 different countries. The Football Festival Denmark, is played in Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city. The Football Festival provides “elite” divisions in certain age groups for high level teams. The fields are excellent. Players and teams will also have the opportunity to attend a Danish Superliga professional game.

Britain
England, the birthplace of soccer, has so much to offer in terms of soccer tournaments, training, and sightseeing throughout the United Kingdom. United Soccer Academy can design and coordinate programs for club, high school, and collegiate teams that can include tournament competition, training camps, attend English Premier League matches and sightseeing in England, Wales, Scotland, or Ireland. Our featured programs to the United Kingdom are focused around two tournaments: Rangers FC Invitational in Glasgow, Scotland and the 21st Watford & London International Festival of Football in Watford, just outside of England. The Rangers FC Invitational is played from July 18-20, 2008 in Glasgow, Scotland and is coordinated by the famed soccer club, Rangers Football Club. Teams will experience Rangers FC firsthand from coaching sessions with academy coaches to player meetings (Question and Answer Sessions) to a visit to Murray Park to a tour of Ibrox Stadium. All the prestige and glamour associated with Rangers FC will be behind the Rangers FC Invitational. The invitational facilities at the Glasgow University Sports Complex are second to none, with quality grass and field turf “pitches”. The 21st Watford & London International Festival of Football, considered London’s only professional level youth tournament featuring Academy and Centre of Excellence Teams from local Premiership and Championship Clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Watford, Charlton, Reading, Millwall, and West Ham, as well as teams such as Birmingham City, Everton, and Coventry City. Professional youth teams also come from outside of England such as Hearts, Swansea City, and Brondby. All games are played on 16 immaculate pitches. Teams will have the option to have training sessions with professional academy coaches, as well as stadium tours to Stamford Bridge (Chelsea), Emirates Stadium (Arsenal), or the newly built Wembley Stadium. Both these tournaments can be combined together or coordinated to include visits to Edinburgh or Manchester so that your players can experience Manchester United FC with a tour of Old Trafford and a training session at the Cliff Training Grounds. Another popular option is to have a 3-day training camp prior to tournament play with FA coaches and or coaches from EPL academy teams that can include training sessions and friendly matches. - Design Your Own Tour
United Soccer Academy will customize a program to Europe, South America, or Asia for your
team that fits within your team's needs, desires, and budget. Call
our office to discuss the many possibilities that United Soccer Academy
can provide your team.
- Homestay Programs
United Soccer Academy can arrange homestay programs with European
teams of the same age and gender of their American counterparts. Experience
a different culture first hand through a 2-3 day program with a European
soccer family. Along with local sightseeing excursions, one to two
friendly matches will be arranged with your host club.
- Clinics
United Soccer Academy, because of its extensive contacts overseas,
can arrange clinics or training sessions for teams with coaches from
European Football Federations, such as the DBU (Danish Football Association)
or the DFB (German Football Association) or from top clubs such as
AC Milan, Manchester United, Fulham FC, or Brondby IF, Sao Paulo FC, or Santos FC.
- Soccer Program
United Soccer Academy offers only the best organized and most reputable
tournaments overseas. All participant and team fees are included.
Customized tours by United Soccer Academy can include friendly matches,
clinics with top international coaches, and participation in major international
tournaments.
- Sightseeing
United Soccer Academy will prepare a customized program for each destination.
Majority of the time admission fees are not included.
- Pricing
Tour prices for 2007 tours are guaranteed and there are no
exchange rate supplements.
- Assistance
At each destination you will be met and hosted by a United Soccer
Academy representative who will ensure that your team will have a
smooth and enjoyable experience.
- Travel Permits
United Soccer Academy will assist team coaches and managers with obtaining
the necessary paperwork from their states soccer association.
- Accommodations
Teams may choose from various levels of accommodations ranging from
classroom accommodations at tournaments to soccer sports centers to
homestays to youth hostels to hotels.
- Meals
Each destination various in meal packages. At majority of the tournaments
three meals a day are included in the program. During homestays meals
are with the host families. Meals during transfers are not included.
- Ground Transportation
Transportation overseas will be by air-conditioned motor coaches.
Necessary ferry crossing are included. The motor coach will be at
your service from arrival until departure except during tournaments
where special shuttle services are provided for participants.
- Air
United Soccer Academy books only with the best-proven and most reputable
airlines. They include Alitalia, British Airways,
Lufthansa, and Scandinavian Airlines. Airport taxes are included and flights can be
booked from any major airport in the United States.
- Parents
A parent or booster program can be arranged for family members interested
in traveling as part of the team.
- Coaches and Team Managers
For every 20 paying participants (players, coaches, boosters) one
free place for the coach or team manager is included in the tour price.
